Photo Update - Super-sized (Big Mac) Supersize Me

We were hoping for some updated pictures of Big Mac.  But he always want to sit around my neck, which is like having a sandbag wrapped around you... We've decided its time to get this man on a diet... which is no mean task, for a food motivated male.  The only thing that detracts him from eating is girls... so what better way to reduce the waistline than some exercise.   Time for this man to entertain some of the ladies and eat "low cal" kibble.  Anyway we did manage to get a few snaps of him, although they are not the greatest quality.

Annoucement - Show Days Booked!

We've finally pulled our finger out, and booked TOTALLYCOASTAL (big mac) SUPERSIZE ME in for a show.  We have been very lax with our showing for a while now, and did not attend any shows for over a year.  This was because we have been focusing on breeding some cats to show for the future.  We hope that quality rather than quantity pays off, and the delay in coming out will be a thing of the past.   Big Mac will be putting in a debut appearance at the Swanley Show in September.  So Totallycoastal fans please come give us your support.  You can find details of the Show on the TickedTICA website.

As this boy has never been shown before, we are not sure if he will like it or not.  I thought it a too bigger step to put an adult boy directly in a ring to be handled, that has had no exposure.  So we are entering him as Exhibition Only on the Saturday, to hopefully desensitise him to crowds and show noises and smells.  On Sunday we have entered him to compete!  Fingers crossed we over come any issues/fears he may have with a no pressure show on Saturday.  If I can get him OK on Saturday, I think we're in for a good show Sunday.

Big Mac Dam is Champion Shenona and Uncle is Champion Ed, Big Mac is sire to Totallycoastal Ocean Waves (Going to a Breeding Program), Totallycoastal Jolly Roger (Going to a Show home) and Totallycoastal Buried Treasure (Staying in Our Program).   So we are hoping for great things from all these cats in this line.  I think you'll agree that he looks mighty mine in the photo's, lets hope in the flesh the judges think he is still mighty fine.

 

Update - Proud Big Mac

Our first homebred kitten and stud, Totallycoastal (Big Mac) Supersize Me.. decided he was going to sponteneously jump up and hold a very refined pose for us!   Ok, Ok, so that not exactly how it went in reality! I admit it was a lucky shot!  I just manged to get 1 good in focus shot of this boy while he was being nosey...pity it was while he was sitting on top of the food delivery boxes.. knowing Big Mac this is entirely possible the cause of why he jumped up there, the smell of food!

We sneakily got another snap of this handsome boy, so you can see his nice body type... however this one the head is at an odd angle so you can neither see a profile or face.  I will keep trying, but hope you like all the attempts along the way!

Planned Pairing - Big Mac x Nebraska

The next planned pairing for Totallycoastal which will be to combine ALL our lines, in another unique mix. Our Homebred Stud boy TOTALLYCOASTAL (Big Mac) SUPERSIZE ME and FINEGOLD NEBRASKA.  This will be a stunning combination, and it is tantalising the tastebuds of the USA Pixiebob breed forum already.  They can't wait to see the resulting kittens as much as us here at Totallycoastal... LOL!  Both of these Pixiebobs carry the longhair gene, so we are hoping that we get our very first litter containing some wonderful typey long and shorthair kittens.

Its been a long time coming for the next Big Mac photoshoot. I have to say this was an intentional delay, as I wanted to give you all a very nice surprise.  Not only has Big Mac flourished into a handsome male but he has now shown interest in Girls and smelling the air. So a Double whamy of a Photoshoot and Stud tag on this latest blog...How time flies!

a glimpse of the great coat colour and pattern.  Also the size of those paws with the fleshy toes which is extremely important to the breed...

Saved the best till last.... I simply love this photo of Big Mac.  Who'd have thought he only arrived on this Earth in Feb 2010.  Now 8.5 months on I'm looking into the eyes of 1 stunning Male Pixiebob. Carrying Wild Bobcatty presence, created by those eyes, muzzle and general size of this boy....To think this will continue to mature even more than now. I just can't wait to get this boy out in front of the judges...and his offsring too!

Big Mac @ 11 Weeks...just look at that Muzzle!

Big Mac (Supersize Me) has had a lot of changes facially over the past 2 weeks. Suddenly gone from chubby kitten face to a more mature look.  His muzzle's seems to becoming even more prominent than before. Theres something about this guy that is very bobcatty to me, and I just love him.

He spends most of his time on my shoulder purring in my ear... so I take every opportunity to get a picture of him when his at arms length! Even if he'd also shared breakfast with Shanty and had the remains of it over his nose LOL!

He is beginning to remind me a lot of his mummy's daddy, when he was a kitten. If he turns out to be anything like Toby, then I will be extremely excited and happy. I'm wondering if as his head fills his ears will look smaller and space out more, or if they'll stay as there are.  It's so difficult to judge as a kitten develops everything moves around and grows at different times.  One time they can look very imbalanced, and then it all comes together a few days later, only to go off again!

Big Mac has consistantly developed and doesnt stay out of balance for any length of time... we are very much looking forward to the future with Big Mac paired to our fantastic Woodghost Seattle Mist x Bob Yonder girls (Nebraska and Dakota).

Big Mac Supersize Me is terrible for getting in front of a camera.  If I could get 1 decent photo of him on his own I'd throw a party. I've managed to get him in some nice group shots playing, as you'll see in my previous posts entitled "Kittens Having Fun", but alas this is the best I've been able to do so far with him by himself.... If this was a school report, it would definately read "must try harder" . Because of the difficulty I have of getting photos I'm going to attemp a movie clip or two, in hope I can capture him better there. Oh to be a kitten, they have nothing but fun!  Big Mac and the Starlets now play all day together. When they're not playing they're Sleeping or Eating.  Mums, Shenona aand Starlight are sharing babies... and they never have the same combination twice and meal times. Big Mac started this, and the others thought it was a great idea.  Hope you enjoy the latest snaps of them all.
