CUPID HAS NOW BEEN RESERVED FOR A BREEDING PROGRAM IN USA.

Where it all began:  He was born on Valentines day during some pretty wild weather, so we needed a pedigree name and shortened call name, that was befitting to that memorable night he arrived in the world.  Hence forth he was given the name TOTALLYCOASTAL STORM IN A TEACUP, aka CUPID.

Never before has a naming been so fitting. Since that day the cutest kitten ever has turned into quite the macho man.  We kept this boy under evaluation, to see if he would flourish into a super quality male.  His expression just kept getting wilder as each day passed by, and now befitting of his moody pedigree name. With his calm, loving and gentle quiet nature, he still fits his call name perfectly.

We were so pleased with this lad, we at first decided to keep him for ourselves.  Eventually we had to let our head over rule our hearts desire, because Cupid did not have enough future females for him here.  So we finally posting a photo update, for potential breeding program elsewhere.  I think you'll agree he would be an asset, once youve seen the updated photos below.

Cupid is of course from our homebred cats BUCK and SWEETIE.  I will be repeating this mating again in future, and fingers crossed we have more super typey examples available.

So without further delay, I present the stunning boy, now 11 months old.

We sent our homebred boy Totallycoastal Jolly Roger (aka Joe) to Gege in France in 2012, and he has been a great success in her Pixiebob Program. 

This wonderful picture, and great example of the breed, was a mating to Baby (Foresthunters Northern Dancer) and our boy Joe (in the background), it appears this mating was a match made in heaven, simply sublime.

Ed catching some shut eye....  We tried our best efforts to gently get him to wake up (for a few pictures).  As you can see he was pretty much unimpressed with the interruption to his sweet dreams, and graced us with a half hearted effort.  Despite this, I think you can still see what an amazing handsome boy he is.

This is the perfect Nicky taking a leading role, and a walk on part by Wyatt ;oD.

Nevertheless both are absolutely superb examples of the breed.

All of these kittens are very sweet natured, gentle and playful, Candy (not featured) has been scooped up as a top quality pet, Goldie (also not featured) is off to far flung shores to embark on a Show Breeding Career...Wyatt is staying here at Totallycoastal, to carry on from his daddy Rider, his tail at this time is a little longer than I'd like for showing, but has everything else we'd want in a stud boy.  Finally the leading man, Nicky is available for a show breeder home and has an absolutely perfect length tail, to go along with his perfect everything else.

Totallycoastal has to make room for up and coming boys, we have Ed's superb line and type in Linsey and Wyatt (who are staying with us).

This male is coming into his element, and has excellent strong face, great coat type and pattern.  We have shown him as a kitten and as an adult with success.  As have his babies... the aforementioned Linsey and the very typey Boo (both won the BOB kittens for us in consecutive years 2011 thru 2013).  He has already given us excellent kittens of nice type for breeding programs other than my own, Van was shipped to USA and has already sired 2 lovely litters.. and I can already see the resemblance to their grandfather.

Based on all of these fantastic achievements, Ed having plenty of spring in his step, and desire to entertain the ladies.... we are looking for a home for him as a Stud male.  With such nice type he would be an asset to new or more established programs and is NOW PLACED IN SIBERIA.

Photo Update - Linsey x Rider Four!

These kitties were born 18th June 2013, and are already developing very nicely... Hardly surprising when we have doubled on Nebraska, amalgamated the 2 Salvarda Lines (Ollie and Ed), and thrown in for good measure Shenona's good looks too! 

 

Yep this is the scrumptious four from the EW #1 Best PB Kitten of 2012, Linsey (Totallycoastal HookLineNSinker); and the handsome very strong featured Rider (Totallycoastal Ride The Waves).  I fell in love with all these kittens when they were born, and I've had a real tough time in actually making them available to others, because I wanted to keep them all.  A very consistent look but each with a hint of individuality. 

 

We have 3 boys and 1 girl, and while I really shouldn't be considering keeping boys.. I have decided that one in particular had to continue here at Totallycoastal as a stud boy.. so much so that I have forfeited keeping Boo for this boy...  The remaining three kittens are strong enough and typey enough for breeding programs and/or showing.  They are all excellent Bobtailed, straight-footed, short hairs.

 

Before I show the pictures that I am sure you are eager to see, the names of this litter are Sands... Totallycoastal Coral Sands (Candy), Totallycoastal White Sands (Wyatt), Totallycoastal Golden Sands (Goldie), and finally Totallycoastal Volcanic Sand (Nicky).
