Update - Life on the Ocean Waves

It's also been a long time since Oceana (Totallycoastal Ocean Waves) has had any photos.  She still has retained her love for the camera, and is easy to get photos of.  Here are a few of this girls face, to show you those excellent eyes and nice whisker pads... that we are looking forward to carrying on here in our program.

Update - Totallycoastal Ocean Waves @ 6m

This girl Totallycoastal Ocean Waves (aka Oceana) has a really nice look, even if she's not standard Brown/Black Spotted.

We can't decide if we should keep her and pair to Our Champion Stud boy Edward Red Esq.  which will give us ALL standard colour very typey kittens.  Or if we should place her as a stunning and unique pet.

We are keeping her sister Berry who is equally nice as Oceana, but also correct in colour.  However this line is so strong I'd be more than happy to keep both sisters and pair them always to different males to create a new permutation of this line.  Such a difficult decision, and no matter how much thought I put in to it, I simply can't come up with an answer I am 100% comfortable with.  I think from these pictures you'll see why I am having such a tough time knowing what to do.

Update - Flourishing Spring Trio!

Nebraska's litter was born in March this year.  They have ALL developed in to fine examples and I am very proud of all three.  Totallycoastal Ocean Waves (Oceana) is a dilute pixiebob, while Totallycoastal Jolly Roger (Joe) and Totallycoastal Buried Treasure (Berry) are standard colour.  Colour aside, their type is really nice and I can definately see all the good bits from mum and dad in them.
Just look how Joe is maturing!

Update - Photo of Oceana ~ Now 15 Weeks!

Such a lovely face on this girl.  Oceana takes after her mother's eyes and muzzle.  Which is very fortunate indeed to have obtains the very best traits from Nebraska.  I can see that with this girls unusual dilute colour combined with mums face, she will be simply stunning when she's an adult.  I personally think, she's a stunner now! Of course, I am a somewhat bias as I did breed this kitten.  To top it all her personality is still very open and friendly and she has taken on her mums calm behaviur and she will happily stand, lay or sit where you want her to a pose for the camera.  While this first picture wasnt completely in focus, down to me getting used to a new camera... I had to post this picture, as it projects everything about this girls calmness!

Update - Dreamy Dilute

Our Oceana is just so beautiful. Honestly, when the sun shines on her coat the slate blue, the pale cream and the peachy undertones combined with that oh so spotty pattern are simply sublime... I know her coat is not breed standard but it is dreamy! Subtle hues that you wouldn't normally notice become apparent, and with such a fantastic muzzle and eye shape I am smitten with this kitten. It will be a day of mixed emotions when Oceana has a new home to go to... I will miss her "moviestar" antics and her vogue "strike a pose there's nothing to it" ways... But on top of that, she has just the sweetest, gentle nature but confidence with it.. Her chirps her mannerisms...Just everything! It's a winning combination, and whoever becomes the owners of this girl will indeed have a "prize catch" from Totallycoastal. I am secretly hoping someone will want to show her in the Household Pet class at TICA shows, but happy to know that whatever she does, she'll do in style and win everyone over that has the fortune of meeting her...

Update - Photoshoot of Nebraska Trio @ 9w

The lighting seemed to confuse my camera today. It couldnt decide if it needed a flash or not.. so snaps some did and some didn't use it!  The kittens are into everything now. At 9 weeks they are Climbing and jumping everywhere.. This of course makes for some fun kitten watching time and far better than any TV Show ;oP
Joe is the boldest and attempts the biggest climb the farthest jump and the best ambushes. Berry is hyper and just randomly runs off in any direction as if shes chasing some imaginary mouse. Oceana is calm, quiet and refined and as always still poses for the camera.  Ok so enough talking and time for the weekly updated pictures.  One last thing to mention, both Joe and Oceana are currently available.  So please contact Totallycoastal if you are interested in either or both of these kittens.

From Left to Right, Berry, Joe and Oceana
As you can see we were very fortunate with these kittens coats every one of
them is EXTREMELY Spotty!!!

All three again sizing up if they can jump from this ledge!  And a Sneak
preview of Joes Side Profile..which has come on so much since last week!

Berry decides she'll carry on playing, while the other 2
are still contemplating jumping... Joe of course is ready to leap ;oD

Oceana decides its too high and joins Berry! I have to get Joe as he is about to
take the plunge off a 5ft high shelf.. the crazy boy!

Oceana quietly having a nose around

More of this stunning dilute Coated girl

Oceana having a little bit of a play

Showing off her wonderful spotted coat. This angle is always the best
to show coat pattern.  Thanks Oceana!

Here Oceana stand perfectly still just waiting for me to take the photo..
If only Joe and Berry would keep still for more than a millisecond...

Again Ocean just turns her head to a super pose and actually stands still
for you to take it.. she held her paw on the Pom-Pom just for added affect.....
I think I should have named this girl after a famous fashion model, LOL!

An Action shot of Oceana here, just to prove that she's just
a regular girl kitten after all....

Not long before she's holding poses for the camera again..
I simply adore this shot of her!!!
So Next Up is Joe, and the Camera Flash too... Which gives us some
dazed eye shots.. Thankfully it does decide to switch itself off in later pictures..
But with the flash it does bring through the undercoat tones well.. so there are some benefits to it!

Joe has the longest, thickest, wooly coat out of all 3 kittens.. we wondered if he would actually
be a semi-longhair boy... but I think it will actually end up being a really plush shorthair with excellent loft
Just like his Dads and Annie Os.

Joe has such an expressive face and it's identical to his dads (Big Mac) Supersize Me.
Already though Joe has a better profie than dad did at this age.. and I think that is Nebraskas
influence coming through.. I cant wait to see this boy at 12w and 16w!

Joe has really puffy whisker pads and a nice width to his muzzle.. Its very hard to get
any pictures of ths boys face as he is always stickinghis nose in places he shouldn't.
so Im pleased I managed to capture this shot here...Very Lucky!

It's mine.. Almost a Spread Eagle shot here of Joe.. He is a chunky boy but he is
very leggy too.. which I hope he retains as he matures!

Joes Action Shot of the Day!! Perfect Black hocks on this boy..again just
like his Dad. You can also see that profile is coming on nicely now and were
getting more of a break...

Joes Chunky Paws... a quick back swipe and the Pom-Pom is history!

Another Wide Eyed Expression here as I was frantically
waving my arm around trying to get him to look this way,
but at least he is sitting still for a second!
Giving us an opportunity to catch the size and roundness of his head and that
Nice Broad Muzzle.  You can clearly see the nose has decent width too...
Just look at the thickness of this Coat...  Could Joe still be a longhair in the making?

Finally some ordinary eye shots of this boy, now his decided to chillout!

Joe..If only you'd pose like this more often!

We'll that was short lived.. his into things again... But a nice
wild look about him in this photo....almost Lion Like....Roar!
Last but Not Least Berry.... Who thankfully refrained from random darting around
So I managed to get some reasonable pictures of her.
Berry having a turn with the Pom-Pom Toy!

Another decent sized Muzzle with gorgeous puffy whisker pads.

Berry are you trying to out do Oceana here!
Never seen you keep still for so long.

Berry showing her little riser tail... How Cute is that!
This was the last we got of this beautifully red girl...
Yep you guessed it, she ran off chasing imaginary mice!
