We've finally pulled our finger out, and booked TOTALLYCOASTAL (big mac) SUPERSIZE ME in for a show. We have been very lax with our showing for a while now, and did not attend any shows for over a year. This was because we have been focusing on breeding some cats to show for the future. We hope that quality rather than quantity pays off, and the delay in coming out will be a thing of the past. Big Mac will be putting in a debut appearance at the Swanley Show in September. As this boy has never been shown before, we are not sure if he will like it or not. I thought it a too bigger step to put an adult boy directly in a ring to be handled, that has had no exposure. So we are entering him as Exhibition Only on the Saturday, to hopefully desensitise him to crowds and show noises and smells. On Sunday we have entered him to compete! Fingers crossed we over come any issues/fears he may have with a no pressure show on Saturday. If I can get him OK on Saturday, I think we're in for a good show Sunday.
Big Mac Dam is Champion Shenona and Uncle is Champion Ed, Big Mac is sire to Totallycoastal Ocean Waves (Going to a Breeding Program), Totallycoastal Jolly Roger (Going to a Show home) and Totallycoastal Buried Treasure (Staying in Our Program). So we are hoping for great things from all these cats in this line. I think you'll agree that he looks mighty mine in the photo's, lets hope in the flesh the judges think he is still mighty fine.
