This week the babies were being uncooperative so I got only a handful of decent photos to share with you. They didn't warrent individual posts. So once again this is a write up of the five as a collective.
First to have her pictures taken was Our short tailed girl Pearl. This week I had to laugh because while her eyes have opened and are a nice shape... For some reason she has made herself look like an cute Ewok. I love this female kitten to bits, and I hope Pearl can stay with us as a breeding queen. Pearl doesn't have quite as long legs as Callie so we'll have to compensate for this in her pairings. We can't pass up on this face though and intend some magic pairings in the future with this girl... to get that great face, extra leg length and some ruggedness thrown in for good measure...roll on 2013.
Next Up is Callie... well she is slowly but surely losing the Bambi look of last week, which is excellent. She does have extra, extra long legs which makes her the tallest in the litter. We like tallness in our pixiebobs, they are not meant to be squat or average in leg length. She's also the most wriggly of all the babies we have in this litter.
Third to get their pictures was Clem. I adore this boys look, he was the first of our pet pixiebobs to be snapped up, and I'm sure you can see why. He is looking like a little bobcat baby here. This is the first shot with Clems eyes open. His best asset is that muzzle and deep chin.. It is very, very wild cat like.
Second to Lats is Sully. He seems to have come on leaps and bound since his last shoot. Those eyes are fully opened and are a promising shape already. This lighter toned boy is equisitly marked.
Last out of this litter was Our bobtailed boy Perry. Perry again is a favourite of mine, for his face. He already has a hooded look about the eye although he is not showing it off well here. I cant wait to see how that develops, as the weeks pass by. I just wished I could have got him to look at the camera. He was too busy being nosey, wriggly, squeaky and a general pain in the bottom. So I am hoping next week will be as a whole a better shoot of the shellets. All were not really up for this weeks shoot.
